1. Introduction
Please read this Privacy Policy (heretofore, the “Privacy Policy”) carefully, as the Privacy Policy applies to www.spellwithsounds.com (heretofore, ‘the Site’).
Along with the Terms of Service (heretofore, the “Terms”) of the Site, the Privacy Policy governs all use of the Site for any visitor to the Site without consideration of the location of the visitor.
The purpose of the Privacy Policy is to inform visitors about the information that is collected when a visitor accesses or uses the Site, how that information is collected, and with whom that information may be shared, if that information is shared.
Access of or use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the Privacy Policy as a binding agreement between you and Spell With Sounds. There are 2 types of visitors to the Site: Users, who have not registered for an account, and Registered Users, who have registered for and keep an account.

If the User completes the contact form, we also collect, store, and use the first name, last name, email address, state, country, employing institution, employee role, and (if provided) telephone number of the User.
From an Registered User, we collect, store, and use the same non-personally identifiable information as is collected from a User and also collect, store, and use the first name, last name, and email address of the Registered User. Additionally, we collect, store, and use a record of the agreement to the Privacy Policy and the Terms and the date and time information of the agreement to the Privacy Policy and the Terms. Lastly, we will collect, store, and use a list of any animations within the Registered User Materials that the Registered User has optionally saved for future use.
recaptcha Enterprise, a service offered by Google, has been implemented throughout the Site. Use of the Site constitutes use of recaptcha Enterprise, and by accessing or using the Site, a User or an Registered User agrees that all use of the Site will be subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of use. recaptcha Enterprise has been implemented throughout the Site for the purpose of security on the Site and for no other purpose. For the aforementioned purpose of security and for no other purpose, hardware and software information, such as device and application data, other non-personally identifiable information, such as actions performed by the User or the Registered User while using the Site, and date and time information is collected from the User or the Registered User and is shared with recaptcha Enterprise.
When a visitor comes to the Site, we place a necessary cookie on the browser of the visitor for the purpose of the functioning of the Site. Third party vendors, including Google, may place cookies on the browser of the visitor and may also collect the following information from the visitor: the IP address, location data, identifiers in other cookies, the device and browser information, and any information about browsing behavior, such as sites visited and links clicked. By changing cookie preferences in the menu on the home page, www.spellwithsounds.com, of the Site, the visitor may opt out of personalized advertisements and data collection, and cookies will be placed on the browser of the visitor for the purpose of remembering cookie preferences. User data and Registered User data are used for many purposes by Spell With Sounds and by third-party vendors of the Site. The purposes are listed below. Please keep in mind that the inclusion of a purpose in the following list does not signify that the data of every User or Registered User are used for the stated purpose.
We may either temporarily or permanently remove any data of the User or the Registered User that we have collected and stored at any time, without consideration of any of the following: (1) the account status of the Registered User, (2) the license of the User or the Registered User, (3) the type of the data, (4) the source of the data, (5) the accuracy of the data, or (6) the uses of the data.
The data that are collected by third party vendors, including Google, may be used for the purpose of ad personalization, measurement of the performance of ads, and fraud and abuse protection. Tools are available to manage the collection and use of the data of visitors. By changing cookie preferences in the menu on the home page, www.spellwithsounds.com, of the Site, the visitor may opt out of personalized advertisements. Visitors may also opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Users and Registered Users are referred to as “End Users” in Google’s privacy policy and terms of use. Google does not use any data (as defined by Google’s privacy policy) collected through the implementation of recaptcha Enterprise on a site or app for the purpose of personalized advertising by Google. 5. Changes to the Privacy Policy
Making any changes to the Privacy Policy requires us to provide notification to Registered Users of those changes. Any changes to the Privacy Policy may be seen by accessing www.spellwithsounds.com/privacy after the changes have been adopted, and, at our own discretion, we may send the updated Privacy Policy or a link to the updated Privacy Policy to the email addresses of Registered Users. At our own discretion, we may list the changed sections of the Privacy Policy above the introduction of the updated Privacy Policy, in a manner that is clearly visible.
If any changes are made to the Privacy Policy, prior versions of the Privacy Policy will remain accessible, and the effective dates of the respective versions of the Privacy Policy will be clearly displayed.
Should a change to the Privacy Policy reduce the rights of Registered Users or Active Users, we will seek their explicit consent before the change to the Privacy Policy becomes effective.
6. User Rights for Data Usage
At any time, a Registered User may delete the account of the Registered User to erase all personally identifiable information about the Registered User that is stored by Spell With Sounds by visiting the account page, www.spellwithsounds.com/myaccount and completing the form there.
The Registered User may also prevent the data of the Registered User from being used for marketing or advertising content of the Site by changing the email preferences of the Registered User on the settings page, www.spellwithsounds.com/settings.
Lastly, a visitor may delete the Google Analytics data that has been collected for the identifier in the Google Analytics cookie on the browser of the visitor by visiting the data privacy page at www.spellwithsounds.com/data and completing the form there.
