Spell With Sounds started in 2021, when a former teacher came from the classroom to the web to bring simple, highly effective teaching materials to teachers of beginning readers.

Our animations of one of the most effective reading strategies (see the research here) had never been done before. Nor had animations to teach kids the different speeds of sounding out letters ever been made. We decided to change that.
Goals
Our goals for everything we make are that they get kids writing the words a lot (while thinking of the letter sounds or the letter names) and that they provide them materials with which they can have success.
